God speaks through a Building Wrap
Have you ever forgotton someone’s birthday? Well, on Saturday I woke up and realised that it was my sister’s 31st and I had forgotton. Panic hit! I leapt out of bed and then remember that she was in the same house as me and I didn’t want to wake her up. So, I crept quietly down the stairs, put on my shoes, and left the house.
I went straight into town, hit the high street, determined to get a good gift for her…. when I realised I did not know what to buy her! What on earth do you get a 31 year old sister for her birthday? I looked around hoping God would inspire me! Then I saw it, like a vision! It was there right in front of my eyes, staring me in the face….. actually, it was less of a vision and more of a giant building wrap advertising the latest head torch from Petzl. Now, my sister is about to go travelling, so I went to the nearest camping shop which turned out to be Blacks. Once inside I grabbed the nearest sales person and said “I need a Petzl and I need it now!” He replied “I am sorry Sir, you are not allowed to eat in the shop!!”
Anyway, the Petzl head torch was amazing. LED lights unlike bulbs don’t really blow. The power outage compared with the amount of light you get is amazing! They are so bright, yet they only take three AAA batteries and they fit in your pocket. Now it is not like me to get excited about what is effectively an expensive torch, but these are really great. It may be a simple gadget but it is one that is definitely worth having. I thank Jesus, Mary, Mohammed and Vishnu for sending me the PVC banner as a sign (get it! Sign).
My sister was delighted and she never knew I forgot.
